Effect of exposure in vitro of MDA-MB-468 tumour cells to tricin (0.11, 1.1 or 11 μM) or to vehicle only on cell growth in vivo after implantation of cells into female nude MF-1 mice. In this in vitro–in vivo bioassay experiment, cells were incubated with tricin for 3 days, after which they were washed and implanted into the right hind flank of mice. Values are the mean for six mice. The s.d. values, which have been omitted for the sake of clarity, were consistently between 90 and 130% of the mean.
