Mice were given two injections at 6-h intervals of oil (control, 0.1 ml/mouse), E2 (10 μg/kg), 4-OH-E2 (10 μg/kg), or kepone (15 mg/kg), and were killed 6 h after the last injection. In each treatment group the pooled uterine total RNA from three to four mice was subjected to RT-PCR as described. Values were derived from the zero equivalence point of the logarithmic plot as shown in Fig. 2, and fold increases were calculated with respect to oil value. Values represent the average of two independent experiments.
