TABLE 2. Relative PPARα mRNA levels in livers of male Sprague-Dawley Rats treated with either DHEA or Nafenopin.

Male Sprague-Dawley rats were maintained on AIN-76A diet and injected i.p. daily for 4 days with corn oil or corn oil containing either DHEA or nafenopin to attain a 100 mg/kg dosage. The rats were euthanized with CO₂, and livers were removed to prepare mRNA as described under Materials and Methods. The statistical values are relative to control.
