Biophysical properties of MutSα and PCNA derived from SAXS and gel filtration

Rg and Dmax were derived from SAXS data, and Stokes radii were determined by gel filtration (see “Experimental Procedures”). Calculated Rg values were determined from crystal structures (44). Dmax values shown in parentheses were calculated from the corresponding crystal structures (44). The C termini of MutSαΔ341 (~80 residues) are not well ordered in the crystal structure and are therefore not included in the calculations.
