The two red bars show differential responses to fearful vs. neutral faces during the attended condition (sex task), which were used as a selection criterion for each individual and are shown for comparison only. The remaining responses are for unattended conditions. Stronger responses to fearful faces relative to neutral ones were observed during the easy condition only.
