Simulation of plasma insulin concentration after the injection of a large amount of insulin is shown and compared to experimental data [58]. Note that the model does not match the experimental data set. This results from the presence of unmodeled effects at highly supraphysiological insulin concentrations and limitations in the detection quality of the experiment. Therefore, the model is not valid at these extremely high insulin concentrations.
