Leukocyte rolling in thrombin-activated rat mesenteric venules. Superfusion of the mesentery with buffer containing 0.5 μ ml⁻¹ thrombin significantly increased leukocyte rolling. Leukocyte rolling was significantly inhibited by pretreatment with 10 mg kg⁻¹ cariporide. Values are means±s.e.mean. Asterisks indicate a significant difference from the time-matched thrombin plus vehicle group, where ^*P<0.05, ^**P<0.01 and ^***P<0.001. There were 5–9 rats in each group.
