Leukocyte transmigration in thrombin-activated rat mesenteric venules. Superfusion of the mesentery with buffer containing thrombin 0.5 μ ml⁻¹ for 120 min significantly increased the number of transmigrated leukocytes. Transmigration was significantly reduced by pretreatment with 10 mg kg⁻¹ cariporide. Values are means±s.e.mean. ^** Indicate a significant difference from the time-matched thrombin plus vehicle group (P<0.01). There were 5–9 rats in each group.
