SHIP controls susceptibility to Salmonella in vivo. (B) ship+/+and ship−/− mice were infected i.p. with 102 live or 102 and 108 heat-killed (HK) serovar Typhimurium SL13344, and the time of death was assessed over a 3-week period. For both panels, three independent experiments were performed with a total of 12 animals for both ship+/+and ship−/− mice.
