CD81-dependent infection of Huh7.5 cells with HCVTCP. Huh7.5 cells were inoculated with HCVTCP harvested 72 h postcotransfection of JFH1 and Luc-NS3-5B in the absence of antibodies (no Ab) or in the presence of 5 μg/ml CD81-specific (JS-81; Becton Dickinson) or CD13-specific (WM15; Becton Dickinson) antibodies. Infection efficiency was determined 72 h later by measuring luciferase activity in the inoculated cells. Background luciferase activity was determined in uninfected cells (not inf.).
