GAL(1–15)-induced hyperpolarization of a CA3 neuron. Bath application of GAL(1–15) induces hyperpolarization, accompanied by a slight decrease in membrane resistance (Top), and the same concentration of GAL(1–16) induces hyperpolarization with a smaller amplitude (Middle), whereas GAL(1–29) does not have any effects on the same neuron, even with a higher concentration (Bottom). The resting potential was −68 mV.
