The values are normalized for the plating efficiency of each cell line without treatment. Cells treated with 3 × ID50 of PALA were replated into normal medium containing 1 mM uridine, to allow rapid re-establishment of pyrimidine nucleotide pools. Colonies containing 30 or more cells were fixed and counted after 10–15 days. nd, not determined.
