Synergistic actions of the adenylyl cyclase stimulator, forskolin, and the phorbol ester, PMA, on CRH promoter activity. Cultured 4B cells transiently transfected with pCRH-Luc and incubated for 6 h either with increasing concentrations of forskolin in the presence and absence of 1 μm PMA (A) or with increasing concentrations of PMA in the presence or absence of 0.1 μm forskolin (B) before measurement of luciferase activity.
