HSP70 alone has no effect on IL-6, IL-8 and MCP-1 secretion in RA FLSs. Rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast-like synoviocytes were incubated with tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α or heat shock protein (HSP)70 at the indicated concentrations for 24 hours. The (a) IL-6, (b) IL-8 and (c) monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 concentrations in the culture supernatants were determined using ELISA.
