Lymphocytes from mice immunized with DC/IL-6 pulsed with HEL respond to subdominant and cryptic HEL determinants. Lymphocytes from nodes draining sites of injection of DC (black bars) or DC/IL-6 (white bars) in CBA (A) and BALB/c (B) mice were cultured with the proteins and peptides shown. Proliferation was measured by [³H]thymidine incorporation over the last 18 h of culture. Results are expressed as means of triplicates; all values fell within 10% of the mean. The experiment was repeated three times with similar results.
