Each dot represents one brain area from a patient and is defined on the ternary plot by three coordinates corresponding to the relative intensity of di-, mono- and nonglycosylated bands. To rule out any codon effect, the influence of PrP^res type was assessed in MV1 and MV2 patients. These two populations are almost separated on the ternary plot. A higher content of diglycosylated forms is observed in the heterozygote MV2 subgroup compared to the MV1 subgroup.
