FT, field test; HR, heart rate; Lct, lactate; MET, metabolic equivalents; MT, maximal exercise test; MT2, second maximal exercise test; RER, respiratory exchange ratio; VO2, oxygen consumption.

Values are mean (SD).

HR, ergospirometry (VO2, VO2/kg, RER, and MET), rating of perceived exertion (RPE), and Lct.

For RPE and Lct the % MT−FT was calculated between the maximum values of MT, MT2 and the values taken at the end of FT.
