SMRT and HDAC-1 interact with BCL-6 but not with HIC-1 in vitro. In vitro-translated [35S]methionine-labeled HIC-1 and BCL-6 were subjected to a GST pull-down analysis with GST, GST-SMRT (194–657), and GST-HDAC-1(full-size) fusion proteins.
