The PM dependence and the time dependence of association. Donor membranes were prepared from 3T3-L1 adipocytes expressing mycGlut4 treated with 10−7 M insulin for 2.5 min (IDM). The PM was prepared from nontransfected 3T3-L1 adipocytes treated with 10−7 M insulin for 5 min (IPM). The assay shown in A was performed as described in Fig. 3 by using a fixed amount (30 μg) of IDM and increasing amounts of IPM (the ratio of IPM/IDM is indicated). (B) The assay was performed by using an equal amount (30 μg) of IPM and IDM for the indicated period of time.
