Seeds of the arr22 mutants and the wild type show no difference in their dry weight and content of inorganic ions. The dry weight (A) and the amount of the indicated inorganic ions (B) was determined in the arr22-2 (light green bars), arr22-3 (dark green bars) mutant and wild type (grey bars) by HPLC analysis as described in Methods.
