GFP- and MAGP-2-expressing MB114 cells were transiently transfected with either pHes1- or pSBE-luciferase, both together with pCMV-β-gal as indicated. Afterward, the resulting transfectants were stimulated overnight with increasing concentrations of TGF-β1 (0–5 ng/ml). Data are the mean (± SEM) of 3 independent experiments.
