Figure 4

Effects of dimemorfan on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced phospho-NF-κB p65 (pp65) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression in murine microglial cells at 24 h. The upper panel shows representative immunoblots of pp65 and iNOS in microglial cells pre-treated with solvent only (LPS), 10 or 20 μM of dimemorfan (LPS+D10 or LPS+D20) followed by stimulation with LPS (0.5 μg mL−1). Cells in control group (C) received solvent only (drug free). The β-actin signal was used as a reference for protein normalization. The lower panel shows the statistical results (mean±s.e.m., n=3–5) of the densitometric measurements after normalization to β-actin. *P<0.05, compared with the corresponding LPS only group by one-way ANOVA followed by the Student-Newman-Keuls t-test.
