Reduction of MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) in SMCs is suppressed by increasing concentrations of 7-ketocholesterol (7-KC) and by 100 μM fluvastatin (a) or 100 μM simvastatin (b).
