Development of fruiting bodies in wild-type Ax2 and dymA cells. In comparison to the Ax2 cells (A) the final developmental morphology of dymA cells results in shorter fruiting bodies consisting of a tapered stalk with enlarged basal disk and spore mass at the apical tip and a second cluster of spores laterally attached to the center of the stalk (B).
