Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) pulmonary levels during foetal development expressed in ng of VEGF/mg of protein (mean ± SD). Sustained increase of VEGF in the lungs from vitamin A treated foetuses. In the last gestational day, VEGF levels are already similar to the ones observed in the neonate lung.
