For each structure considered, the first column of the table shows the original name assigned (typically from Karten and Hodos, 1967) and the original abbreviation, the next column shows the Latin variant and abbreviation of the new (or carried over) term recommended by the Forum, the next shows the English variant and abbreviation of the new (or carried over) recommended term, and the final two columns present any noteworthy comments about the change and key references pertinent to the change.
