Frequency and magnitude of errors in power-law networks with homophily parameter 1.0 and degree parameter 1.5. Errors are the differences in expected distance to target between EVN′s choice and the eligible neighbor with the lowest expected distance to target. Conforming choices have, at most, 0.1 hop error. We examined only the decisions in which at least two eligible neighbors were present.
