The 120 Da loss typical for aromatic C-glycosides is shown. The portion of the spectrum that has been enlarged fourfold has been indicated with dashes. (B) Radiolabeled peptide obtained from an experiment as shown in Figure 5A was digested with thermolysin and purified by HPLC as described in the legend to Figure 1B. The radioactive thermolytic peptide 5–10 was subjected to solid-phase Edman degradation and the radioactivity of the anilinothiazolinone-amino acid released at each cycle was measured.
