(A) The supernatants from each well of the proliferation assays were removed 24 hours after the beginning of the incubation. The cytokines TNF-α, IFN-γ, and IL-2 were measured from 10 MS patients in the following 3 cell subsets: CD4⁺CD25^highCD127^high, CD4⁺CD25^–, and CD4⁺CD25^highCD127^low. Mann-Whitney U tests were performed to compare the 3 cell subsets. (B) Comparison of cytokine production by CD4⁺CD25^highCD127^high T cells under CD3 polyclonal stimulation between MS patients (n = 4) and HIs (n = 4). Supernatants were removed 3 days after the beginning of the incubation. The results are the mean ± SD from 4 patients and 4 healthy controls.
