Structure of the mouse S100b gene and S100b-Cre transgenic construct. Boxed regions represent exons I-III of the mouse S100b gene. The black part indicates the protein coding region. The transgene consists of the −5.4 kb to +6.3 kb S100b genomic sequence with insertion of a cDNA encoding Cre recombinase with nuclear localization and poly-A signals (nls-Cre-pA).
