In vitro transfection activity of DNA/liposome complexes at a charge ratio of 2.3 in HepG2 cells. Cells were transfected with DNA/liposome complexes in the absence (†) and presence (†) of 20 mM galactose. DOPE containing liposome/DNA complexes (A) and DOPE noncontaining liposome/DNA complexes (B) were applied to the cells. DNA concentration was fixed at 0.5 μg/ml in all experiments.
