Time dependent up-regulation of galactose-related genes in THP-1 cells treated with RA. THP-1 cells were treated with RA (20 nM) at t=0 and again after overnight incubation (shown by black triangles); microarray analysis was conducted (as described in Fig. 1B and Materials and Methods). Median signal intensity for the arrays is 0 on a log(2) scale and the Y-axis displays the mean ± SEM of the log(2) values of the array signal intensities at each time. Bars or points that do not share a superscript letter differed significantly (P values as shown).
