Lack of effect of Nω-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) upon eotaxin- and RANTES-induced eosinophil adhesion to fibronectin-coated plates. Eosinophils (3.5 × 103 cells/well) were incubated with platelet-activating factor (PAF; 10-6M), D-NAME; 0.1 mM), L-NAME (0.1 mM), eotaxin (EOT; 100 ng/ml) or RANTES (RAN; 100 ng/ml) for 4 h (37°C, 5%CO2), and then allowed to adhere to fibronectin-coated wells for 30 min. Results are expressed as mean adhered cell percentages of total cell number ± SEM (n = 6). * P < 0.05 compared to control (CTRL).
