These plots represent cases in which the measurement of the voltage drop is straightforward (left) and where it is less so (right). In the cases where the ringing in combination with a rapid decay of the double layer voltage makes distinguishing the transition between iR drop and double layer drop, we take the measurement to the first ‘minimum’ as shown. The lengths of the microelectrodes are approximately 415 μm for the left and 60 μm for the right plot.
