Inhibition of p110-α, but not of -β, -γ, or -δ, blocks SGK1 and Akt phosphorylation in aldosterone-treated mpkCCD cells. Cells were pretreated with 1 μM aldosterone for 4 h, and then inhibitors (at concentrations as in Figs. 2 and 3A) were added and cells were harvested for Western blotting at 0.5, 1, or 2 h, as shown.
