p110-α inhibition blocks SGK1 and Akt phosphorylation in insulin-treated mpkCCD cells. Experiments were performed as in Figs. 3 and 4, using lysates from cells treated with insulin in the absence of aldosterone. The cells were pretreated with 100 nM insulin for 1 h and then incubated with inhibitors for an additional 1 h before harvesting of protein for Western blotting. Inhibitor concentrations were as in Fig. 2.
