The characteristic time τ of cell reorientation decreases linearly as a function of strain amplitude at a strain frequency of 1 s−1. The threshold amplitude for reorientation is 2% for the HDF cells (□) and 1% for the REF52 cells (○). The effect of strain amplitude is similar for both cell types.
