Tm measurements were done in 3 separate experiments. The values given are the mean values. The SD in Tm measurements was <1 °C. The molar concentration of poly-L-lysine was calculated, using the average molecular weight of 50,000. At concentrations higher than 0.02 μM, DNA precipitated in the presence of poly-L-lysine.
