Stimulation of in vitro transcription by addition of WRNp to extracts derived from wild-type and WS lymphoblastoid cell lines. (A) Transcription was assayed in nuclear extracts prepared from wild-type (SNW646) and WS (KO375) cells. WRNp (∼50 ng) was added to the reaction (as indicated), and transcription was monitored after incubation at 30°C for 1 h as described earlier. (B) As a control for the above experiment, equivalent volumes of WRNp and mock-purified protein preparation were added to aliquots of the wild-type extract (SNW646), and transcription was measured as above.
