Ammonium chloride treatment affects multiple transport steps. Filter-grown T23 cells were incubated in MEM/BSA with or without 10 mM ammonium chloride for 30 min before [¹²⁵I]IgA or [¹²⁵I]Tf uptake. Assays were performed in the continued presence or absence of ammonium chloride as described in MATERIALS AND METHODS.
