Relative Abundance of LHCII Polypeptides in the Gel Filtration Fractions I to III.

(A) Minor LHCIIs (CP26 and CP29) and major LHCIIs (types I, III, and IV) in the three PSII fractions were detected using immunoblotting with specific antibodies as indicated. I, II, and III indicate the corresponding fractions isolated from a State 1–locked sample using gel filtration (Figure 3). Each protein sample was normalized to the quantity of D1 protein. Three independent experiments were performed, and a representative result is shown.

(B) Protein levels detected by immunoblotting (A) were quantified using ImageJ software. Values are means of three measurements ± sd normalized to the highest value in the three fractions.
