One-photon excited fluorescence spectra of the same amount of water-dispersed silica nanoparticles entrapping (a) only 20 wt% BDSA, (b) only 1.1 wt% HPPH, and (c) 1.1 wt% HPPH/20 wt% BDSA together. Because of significant overlapping of BDSA and HPPH emission spectra, the composite fluorescence spectra in (c) were deconvoluted.
