Concentration-dependent effects of alendronate treatment on FPP levels and MTT activities in primary cultured rat hepatocytes. At 48 hr after plating, primary cultured rat hepatocytes were incubated for 48 hr in medium containing 0.1 μM squalestatin 1 alone (0) or in combination with 10, 30, 60 or 100 μM alendronate, after which they were harvested for measurement of FPP levels (A) or MTT activities (B). Data represent the mean values obtained in four independent hepatocyte preparations ± sd (except for the 60 μM values, which represent the mean ± range of two hepatocyte preparations) relative to control (0 μM alendronate). Groups not sharing a letter are significantly different from each other, p<0.05.
