Anti-coilin antibody C236 was injected into the cytoplasm (A) or the GV (B) of Xenopus oocytes. After 18 h of incubation, GVs were isolated, and the nuclear contents were spread on slides. Preparations were stained with Cy3-conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody. In both cases strong label was limited to the matrix of the coiled bodies. In A, a single B-snurposome lies within the coiled body. In B, three B-snurposomes are at the surface of the coiled body.
