(A) Schematic representation of the transgene. A BAC containing the complete hLF genomic DNA (∼28.9-kb genomic sequence containing human hLF flanked by a 90-kb 5′ flanking and a 31-kb 3′ flanking region) were microinjected into bovine fetal fibroblasts. The black box showed the 2.2 kb EcoR I fragment used as probe in Southern blot. The positions of P1, P2 and P3 primers for PCR screening are indicated by arrows. (B) Southern analysis of DNA from transgenic calves.
