The carbon monoxide difference spectrum of Ni²⁺-NTA agarose-purified, reduced CYP56 (18.4 mg·ml⁻¹) was determined using the method of Omura and Sato (22). A characteristic γ-Soret peak was observed at 448 nm when dithionite-reduced CYP56 bound carbon monoxide.
