SDS-PAGE of coat extracts from spores of various strains. Purified spores were extracted with decoating solution, an aliquot (10 μl) of the extract was run on SDS-PAGE, and the gel was stained as described in Materials and Methods. The samples were from spores of strains PS533 (wild-type), PS3328 (cotE), PS4149 (gerE), and PS4150 (cotE gerE).
