Cell viability as measured by LDH release is diminished in cells depleted of 14-3-3 ζ and conversely enhanced by the overexpression of 14-3-3 ζ. The knockdown of 14-3-3 ζ in parallel with SIRT2 abolishes the protection conferred by SIRT2 siRNA alone.
