Effect of potassium depletion on HRP accumulation. Control (□) or potassium-depleted (•) A105 cells were incubated on ice for 15 min with 2 mg/ml HRP. The cultures were then placed at 37°C and at the indicated times internalized HRP was determined and normalized to total cellular protein. The data represent the mean ± SEM of three separate experiments done in triplicate and the R² value was 0.95 and 0.87 for control and potassium-depleted cultures, respectively.
