Systemic injections of MK-801 during conditioning did not induce a CTA against the CS+ and CS− flavors. In 48-h, 2-bottle preference tests of Kool-Aid/saccharin solutions vs. water, all rats treated with either vehicle or MK-801 during conditioning showed significantly higher intake of both CS+/S (black bars) and CS−/S (white bars) compared to water (hatched bars).
